The star has given the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound award prize money to the Music Venues Trust, which functions to protect the Britain's grassroots concert spaces.

He was presented with the award on mid-October as his latest record his work was chosen as the top album of the past year.

He has chosen to give the cash to the Music Venues Trust, in recognition of the vital role local spots had in his initial steps.

"As an artist couldn't be pursuing what I am doing today if it wasn't for all the gigs I played around the area, and further afield, when I was beginning," stated the artist. "These locations are legendary, but they are facing challenges."

Since the start of 2023, more than 150 of these locations have ceased operations – about 16 percent of the total UK scene.

Over the past year, major artists such as the band Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all aided the trust in its initiatives to help venues survive, by adding a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which goes to help local stages.

He also participated, raising in excess of £100,000 on his recent tour to support thirty-eight grassroots venues across the UK.

The donation assisted venues that were facing possible closure due to challenges arising from flooding, fires and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and neighbor objections.

Some locations received monetary aid in improving facilities and technical equipment that directly benefitted performers and audiences.

"The idea that money from concerts in big venues supports the local stages, where it begins for artists like me, is just common sense," the star has said.

The musician is among several artists to donate his honor winnings to good deeds.

Back when the band earned the award in the year 1996 for their album their work, lead singer Jarvis Cocker declared that the act would give their prize money to the non-profit War Child.

In 2002, artist Ms Dynamite split her award between multiple charities, like the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.

"Additionally, I donated a £1,000 to Highgate Newtown, to their gymnastics program, because I did gymnastics when I was a child and they needed updated gear," the artist told the media.

Two years ago, they gave their winnings to the local youth club that nurtured their band, alongside other local music groups.

Also 1994 winners the group gave their winnings to a MS organization after a close contact was diagnosed the condition.

"Winning was sufficient," remarked singer the singer. "The cash was the extra but we could do without the cherry, because we had the cake. So our victory impacted another person's life."

Last week, the trust revealed it had rescued two small stages in south-east England, by transferring them to public stewardship.

The first in that area and the second in the city were purchased under the community ownership initiative, which is backed by a national body and enthusiasts who acquire "stakes" in the venues.
